Overview
Note: Before you can write your Prospectus, you will have to have done enough preliminary research on your issue to have identified some of the major arguments--for and against--being used in source materials.
The Assignment
2. What is the issue which will be the focus of your research project?
3. What is your Research Question about the issue?
4. What is your Research Hypothesis --that is, what is the answer to your Research Question?
5. Briefly present the three (3) strongest arguments for your hypothesis, the arguments you will use to support your claims. Label these A, B, & C. Try to limit yourself to three or four sentences for each.
6. Briefly present the three (3) strongest arguments against your hypothesis, the arguments you will either be conceding or refuting in your essay. Label these A, B, & C. Try to limit yourself to three or four sentences for each.
7. Make any other comments or ask any questions you think are relevant to your project.
