If you are considering focusing your research project in one of these subject areas, be sure to: 1) reconsider, 2) reconsider again, 3) if you are determined to go ahead, try to find a timely and topical (and interesting) angle on which to approach the issue, 4) focus the issue as narrowly as is workable, in order to avoid raising broad, abstract issues which can't be adequately addressed, and 5) reconsider!
